I hope he understands what Expendables should be, does his job right, has a good vision and isnt just a studio lacky that is forced to have his creation appeal to today's call of duty/fast and furious loving Youth. His past works dont inspire much hope though. Wish they went with an experienced action movie director. But maybe this man will surprise us in good ways!
His "Act of valor" is very good and corresponds well to a type of film like The Expendables... His "Need for speed" is a film well mastered and correctly directed. We could have had better, of course, but also much worse ! I have hope for this coast.
Yeah I agree.. he didnt deliver anything truly bad in the past... need for speed was alright for the kind of movie it was meant to be and act of valor was pretty good and badass... we could have gotten someone a LOT worse, like some kind of B-movie director who only made more recent Seagal flicks, or someone entirely unexperienced. So I'll happily give this director the benefit of doubt haha!
