Production To Move To Bulgaria
Filming is moving to Bulgaria and will be there until end of October. Then moves again to Greece for the entire month of November. All cast members except for Sly should be there too.
Here’s the confirmation from the PA flying to Bulgaria today.

HOW MUCH BARNEY ROSS WILL WE SEE?
Now that Sly is finished shooting his scenes, how much will we see him in EX4? He started filming Monday Oct 4, and was done around Friday Oct 15. So, 12 days, but he likely had a day or two off, perhaps. I am guessing maybe 20-25 minutes of screen time, probably mainly front loaded. We saw a variety of scenes he was in, so the rumors of him getting killed off in the opening scene are nonsense.

Jaa Heading Out for EX4
Sly out, Jaa in. It's safe to assume that he won't be sharing screen time with Sly.
Sly Passing The Baton On To Jason
That's it for Sly. He's done filming for EX4. A little bit premature, I thought he'd be also filming in Bulgaria but it doesn't seem to be the case now.
This is his last EX movie. He's passing the baton on to Statham, who will lead EX4 and potentially the subsequent sequels if EX4 is a commercial success. Depending on the fate of his character in EX4 Sly might come back if producers feel they need him and can convince him, it's Hollywood and everything is possible. We've had many come backs from many stars who announced their retirement from such and such movie or franchise including Sly.
Goodbye for now LEGEND. Thanks for this franchise, you'll be sorely missed.

Saïd Taghmaoui was offered the main villain
This is a huge surprise. Saïd Taghmaoui, a French actor, not very well known in North America - some might remember him from John Wick 3 & Wonder Woman - was offered the main villain role in EX4! And he declined it due to conflicting schedules.
Although he's a very fine actor, he's not someone I would qualify as an icon of action movies. Whereas we had actors such as JCVD and Gibson play the main villains in previous installments, Taghmaoui is not in that league.
This is somehow concerning that EX4 keeps casting relatively unknown (in North America) or DTV actors in lead roles. Given Taghmaoui's profile, I have a sense that Scipio is his replacement.

Official confirmation that Sly will not fiilm in Greece
There is an interview in one of the Greek news websites with the head of the region where EX4 will be shot. He confirms that Sly won't be shooting any scenes there. Here's the google translation of the part he mentions Sly:
Regarding whether the Thessalonians will see Sylvester Stallone in the city, he replied: "I am afraid not. He will finish shooting in England before the rest of the team arrives. But the rest of the Expendables 4 team, some old and some new faces, we will see them all here. "
