Mark my words: At the end of the climax action scene at the boat, the sun is rising and the day is almost saved, but then Statham gets in a difficult position, is about to get killed... and then Sly comes to save him in his helicopter, reappearing in the movie after having been absent for most of it. We get this 'the cavalry comes to save the day just in time' kind of moment with Sly.
Despite the lack of truly interesting new familiar action actors having been added, I'm still low-key and cautiously looking forward to this movie.. it does seem to have somewhat of an Expendables kinda vibe, with some throwbacks to the first movie even

it's very possible and you might be onto something. One thing seems to be sure is that Sly won't die or is not captured as it was originally suspected
